About Mary

I come to my work as a clinical social worker and therapist with a deep compassion for the struggle we experience as humans, a curiosity and interest in people, a respect for the differences in each of us and a strong sense of humility that you may share your most difficult or complicated life experiences with me.

My credentials include:

  • Master’s degree from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare
  • Licensed clinical social worker in both Missouri (LCSW) and Kansas (LSCSW)

I’m trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Acceptance and commitment and other mindfulness therapies
  • EMDR
  • Gottman couples therapy
  • Emotionally focused therapy for couples
  • Theraplay® techniques
  • Sand tray therapy

  • I have a vast toolbox of education and experience
  • I enjoy working with all kinds of people, from every background or history
  • I am passionate about helping women uncover their own strength of spirit and unique gifts and talents
  • I enjoy working with couples that are interested in strengthening their existing bond with each other
  • When couples do not want to remain together, I help them co-parent after a separation or divorce
